Hello baby!

April 30, 2010 in ,
This card was one that we made at a stamp class last month. Wanted to get the Big Shot into action and use clear mount stamps as well. So the background was made using 3 stamps all on one clear block to make a cutomizable background stamp! The Close to Cocoa was embossed using the texturz plates and the tag is from the Tags Bigz die.
Supplies
Stamps: Fox and Friends, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Close to Cocoa, Certainly Celery
Paper: Certainly Celery, Close to Cocoa, Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Clear block, Big Shot, texturz plates, scallop circle punch, Certainly Celery ribbon (retired)

Defintitely a wet year too in Manitoba (where my husband and I were living at the time). I snapped these photos right before we traveled to Ontario for my sister-in-law's wedding, so I guess these were really taken in May. But that doesn't really matter. These photos were to show our families the town we lived nearby. I really miss how flat it is!

The title was die cut with the Big Shot using the Timeless Type alphabet and then ran through the Big Shot again with the texturz plates (can you see the texture?). And of course can you tell what is missing yet again? Yup, my journal and titles for the photos! Someday my friends, someday!

Supplies
Stamps: Best Wishes and More
Ink: Garden Green
Paper: Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Close to Cocoa, Close to Cocoa texture paper
Accessories: Silver brads, Big Shot, texturz plates, Timeless type alphabet sizzlit

Medallion Brithday

April 22, 2010 in ,
A cloudy dull day here in Kingston, Ontario. But the sun is starting to peak out a bit. And it's been a slow and quiet day at work too! Can I have a nap now?

As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I receive a monthly magazine called Stampin' Success. It holds lots of project ideas, samples and information. And this month was a bonus! Because of the Color Renovation they included a single sheet of the new 5 colours: Cherry Cobbler, Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso and Cajun Craze! And wow, they look better in person. Tonight will be the time to create some new colour schemes and compare these new colours with the others that will be sticking around. Would you like to get sneak peek items and be able to take advantage of preordering before the catalogue goes live? Then you should become a Demonstrator today!

2005 was a really wet year in Manitoba and was our first spring on the farm. I wanted the pictures to speak for themselves, but I see that I missed writing in a few tidbits. It is really important when you are scrapbooking to add some titles and journal. There are quite a few pages in my 2005 scrapbook that are in much need of some explanation for future generations when I am not here to elaborate!
