Each month my upline has a creative challenge for her team. This month she gave each of us a package of pre-cut designer series paper and asked us to create 3 projects! Above is what was in my packet. What an awesome challenge! I am not a fan of pinks so I hadn't purchased this paper pack yet and it is so much nicer than shown in the catalogue! The gold accents really stand out.

Welcome to February's Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop all about love! There are so many stamps to choose from to fit in this category. I choose one of my favourites, the This Little Piggy stamp set.

The Picture Perfect Party 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper has some excellent patterns that will work for most cards. I really like the colours that are in this paper. To colour in the piggy I used Pink Pirouette and a Blender Pen. The body was coloured in twice to get the darker look. I also used a Blender Pen and Lemon Lime Twist for the grass.

It was great to see so many people at our first all day crop of 2018 this past Saturday! I look forward to each crop - the time away to be creative and spend time talking with friends. In two weeks we have our very first weekend retreat on Feb 9 to 11 - I'm starting to be really excited about it!! If you weren't able to make it to our first retreat we are working on the details for the next one so stay tuned!

The first project I'll share today is a pocket page. The 4x6 journal card was modified from the original card in the pack. Pink is so not my colour and the bottom of the card was pink. I cut around the flower and along the straight line to get rid of the pink band, then glued on a piece of Basic Grey cardstock to the bottom! The flower and the "hello" were shaded first with watercolor pencils and then a blender pen to create a watercolour look.

Very little stamping on the card. The birds and heart image is a 3x4 card cut out using the Big Shot and the Stitched Shapes Framelits. From the Heart is stamped in Calypso Coral from the Petal Passion stamp set.

Lisa designed the following 2 projects. First up a simple gift card holder using only items from the Petal Palette Memories & More card pack! One 4x6 and one 3x4 card with one of the large flower stickers on the back (which I should have taken a photo!) The birds and grass were coloured in using the Stampin' Blends.

I love everything about Lisa's scrapbook page! Especially the black and white photos. The Petal Palette Memories & More card pack has 2 cardstock sticker sheets that have the hearts on them and 2 accent sheets that include the words hello from the above pocket page and the smile from the scrapbook page along with other words diecut ready for you to use!

Registration is now open for our next all day crop on Saturday February 24th in support of H'art at St. Lawrence College. Click here to find out more details and to register!

Sale-A-Bration Thinlits

January 18, 2018 in
This year for Sale-A-Bration Stampin' Up! has two different levels of free products AND I believe this is the first time that a Thinlits die has been a freebie! The celebrate die-cut is one of the 3 Thinlits in this package.

This was the perfect card to use the Tutti-Frutti Adhesive-Backed Sequins. They are a perfect way to add a pop of colour to this card. Even better they already have adhesive on the back, so peal off the sheet and adhere wherever you want them to be!

Sale-A-Bration ends March 31, 2018. Make sure to place your order either online or directly with me! Now is the time to earn some freebies!!

Supplies
Stamps:  Labeler Alphabet
Colours:  Berry Burst, Tranquil Tide, Soft Sky, Silver, Whisper White
Accessories:  Celebrate You Thinlits Dies (Sale-A-Bration), Tutti-Frutti adhesive-backed sequins, Stampin' Dimensionals, Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper

Lots of Happy Kit

January 16, 2018 in

Colouring is very relaxing, especially when you don't have to worry about colouring in the lines! I must admit that I wasn't very careful with my colouring job but it turned out great anyways! That is what is so great with this kit, the images are ready for you to use the watercolour pencils to shade the images. After colouring you can leave the pencil shading as is or use a blender pen like I have to watercolour the images.

These cards would be great for any occasion and if you want to make more cards there is a refill kit! The refill kit does not include the watercolour pencils, the stamps or block.

Stampin' Up! has this great video showing some tips and tricks for this kit.

Supplies
Stamps:  Lots of Happy card kit
Colours:  Old Olive, Rich Razzelberry, Sweet Sugarplum, Lemon Lime Twist, Sahara Sand, Basic Black
Accessories:  all accessories are included in the kit!
